Photographic Society of Orange Country was founded in 1993 by Leroy Hannon due to over crowded photography classes at local community colleges.
Leroy felt there was a need for a place for novice to advanced photographers to be able to expand their photography, exchange ideas. and appreciate other photographers' work as well.

The Society (PSOC) is a membership organization dedicated to furthering the art of photography.

Mission Statement: “A place where members can approach photography with a resolution to reach their creative potential."
Through field trips, a series of workshops, and gallery shows, the Society hopes to expand the appreciation of photography throughout Orange County.
