About our membership here at the Photographic Society of Orange County (PSOC).

The PSOC was founded in 1993 by Leroy Hannon due to over crowded photography classes at local community colleges. Leroy felt there was a need for a place for novice to advanced photographer to be able to expand their photography, exchange idea's and appreciate other photographer's as well.

The Society (PSOC) is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to furthering the art of photography.

The mission statement is “A place where members can approach photography with a resolution to reach their creative potential”.

Through fieldtrips, a series of workshops and gallery shows, the Society hopes to expand the appreciation of photography throughout Orange County.
